Hi! I’m Zoe
I really believe I can be someone who changes the world in a positive way, and that everyone else can be too.
I'm a student, hippie, older sister, bicycle rider, amateur website designer, loom knitter, novice seamstress, and a little bit eccentric.
I love public speaking, photography, writing and cooking. I'm fluent in English, Sarcasm and Bullshit.

Today when the house was quite with the sounds of napping, I took a pad of pastel paper and my mum’s box of pastels outside to sit and let rainbows smudge beneath my fingers. I haven’t used pastels in a long time and it was fun rediscovering how much I enjoy playing with them! The first page I opened up to already had a sketch on it, one that my mum must have done back when she used to take life drawing classes. It was a nice surprise… Continue reading
In one of my (many) craft cupboards I have a stack of sketching books, pastel paper, tins of watercolour pencils, pastels and charcoal. I sort of inherited it all from my mum, who moved overseas last month. Unfortunately I didn’t inherit her awesome drawing skills. But I’ve been working on mine, just playing around. I haven’t touched the pastels or charcoal yet… but I’ll get there! Here’s a few little bits and pieces I’ve been practising with: Continue reading
We all have dreams, little dreams, big dreams, short-term dreams, long-term dreams and my favourite kind of dreams- the big crazy dreams. Dreams that make people wonder just how crazy you really are. It all led up to Sunday, sprawled out all over the floor with jewels, ribbons, shells, charms, bobby pins and an old on-it’s-last-legs hot glue gun. Continue reading
I’m currently using this wool along with a matching red wool to make two scarf and beanie sets for my soon-to-be etsy shop. I was planning on opening up an etsy shop toward the end of this year, but I’m trying to step it up a notch so that it can help fund my next trip to Uganda (Africa) in September.
I started back at uni last week, and have been using my lovely lunch bags made by BonTons to inspire to make, pack and take my lunches everyday. On Monday I made a triple batch of Nori rolls, with the 4yo I’m living with as my kitchen helper. He really enjoyed helping me put them together, and he even tried one (after telling me he doesn’t like “that black stuff” [the seaweed] or mushrooms) and declared it to be delicious! After another week off (I started uni this week and forgot how time consuming it can be!) I’m back again with a quick post about how excited I am about the International Craft Swap being organised by Zoe of Giraffe In A Scarf! Continue reading
