If any of you lovely readers were expecting super-cute pictures of the super-cute kids I now Au-Pair for, sorry to disappoint. I haven’t had the time or energy to take any photographs because I’m too busy unpacking and playing with/dancing with/feeding two little tornadoes of fun. I also haven’t checked with their mum to see if she’s happy for me to post pictures of them here. So instead today, I give you a photograph of a giraffe, sticking it’s tongue out at you.
This one was taken in Uganda in 2009, when I travelled over as part of a Mission Watoto Australia Team to build a school classroom for a Watoto village. Part of our trip included a three day animal safari at Murchinson Falls National Park, where I learnt that no matter what, it is actually physically impossible to take a photograph of a giraffe not looking cute. And I took more than a thousand photos over those three days…!
I’m travelling to Uganda again this year, if anyone’s interested in joining me :)
Taken with my Nikon D3000 and one of my Nikkor lens’ (I was switching between the 18-55mm and the 55-200mm lens constantly!)
