FilmCanister- Dragonfly

As my camera is packed away in a box somewhere, waiting for me to move and unpack it, today I’ll share with you one of my very first photographs that I was extremely proud of. Taken back in 2007 with a little point-and-shoot camera that I’d bought from Aldi, I loved this photograph so much that I almost got the dragonfly¬†tattooed¬†on my back. Unfortunately I’m a wuss and decided that a tattoo would hurt too much!

He sat in the garden for 15 minutes and let me take a lot of pictures! I finally decided that this was the best of the lot...

And all the gory details (even though I’m fairly sure I would have used the auto setting for this!)
Camera: Traveller DC-6900
F-stop: f/2.8
Exposure time: 1/109sec
ISO speed: ISO-64
Macro focus was turned on also.

I’ve never been able to capture a dragonfly! How great that he just sat there for you! I’m loving the new blog btw, I somehow missed the launch by a few days.

Thanks! This little dragonfly was very obliging, I wish I had another opportunity like that now, see where my new skills in photography would lead… :) Glad you’re enjoying the new blog!
